I’m working on submitting Micro-Entity Accounts in iXBRL format to Companies House using the XML Gateway. **Update:** Ignore – all working now. The issue was on my end: I mistakenly applied `strtolower` _before_ `md5`, instead of the correct order (`md5` first, then `strtolower`) when generating the authentication value. ---

I’ve put together a PHP-based proof of concept that may be helpful to others working on submitting iXBRL filings to Companies House via the E-filing gateway. The project walks through constructing and posting the required XML envelopes, including base64-encoded iXBRL documents, in a step-by-step manner. I’ll be expanding on it soon, but in the meantime, I hope it’s useful as a reference or starting point. ---

Yes, that does seem about right - 502 errors do indeed usually indicate an issue with the presenter ID / Authentication Value, or with their coding. SDN ---
