As you’re already aware, information about your products and services are captured in our accounts software look-up service on GOV.UK - Find software for filing company accounts.
This service helps users find software that’s suitable for the type of accounts they’re filing with Companies House. The content on GOV.UK is managed by our partners at the Government Digital Service (GDS).
From next month, we’re changing the process for you to notify us of any changes or amendments to the information we currently hold. For example, a request to update your website URL or to change the name of a product or service. This will allow us to better manage expectations and allow colleagues at GDS to meet our deadlines.
We’d be grateful if you could provide all requests by the last day of each month. The updates or amendments will then be published by the last Friday of the following month.
For example, we’ll need any requests by 31st October, so GDS can publish the updated content by 28th November.
Any requests which miss the initial deadline will be provided to GDS on the last day of the following month.
In your requests, it would be helpful to provide:
- the reason for the change (or changes)
- full details of the change
- which outcomes the change relates to - for example, audited small, unaudited micro-entities etc
- which ‘heading’ the change applies to - for example, main table, LLP table, charities table etc
