Minimum character limit on subscriber personal data

Hi,

When providing personal information for subscribers as described in section 3.4.1 of the TIS, it says that 3 characters must be provided for text-based fields. What would happen if, for example, a subscriber wishes to use the ‘Father’s forename’ attribute, but their father’s forename is 2 characters long? Is there a padding characters or are they unable to use this attribute at all?

Thanks,
Dan Perry

Hi Dan,

There are no official padding characters as such - to be honest, we can only really suggest that in instances such as this, that the subscriber uses a different attribute.
