We have updated our XML filings to comply with the new CompanyIncorporation-v3-8.xsd schema, including the new <MemorandumPersonalAuthentication> element as specified.
However, when submitting the XML, we receive the following error:
Error Raised By: CompanyIncorporation / Number: 9999 / Type: fatal / Location: / No element 'MemorandumPersonalAuthentication' in class CompaniesHouse::Filing::PersonalAuthentication
This suggests our filing is not being validated against the correct (latest) schema.
Could you confirm if the gateway is accepting filings according to v3-8.xsd? Is there anything further we need to do to ensure the new schema is in use on your side?
v3.8 has only been released as at present to give all software developers advance sight of it -it will not become live until late this year (date to be confirmed in due course). We will supply a test facility for this new schema soon.
Until v3.8 becomes live, v3.7 remains the current live schema for company formation.
I am using the test XML Gateway in order to make the necessary changes for v3.8. I am receiving this message No element ‘MemorandumPersonalAuthentication’ in class CompaniesHouse::Filing::PersonalAuthentication’ .
THe XML that I am sending seems to match the example provided on the Schema documentation page. The section of the XML I am sending is:
Hi Jeff, just to confirm what I told you via email recently - you cannot test these newly released schemas yet, we will give you a specialist way of testing these soon.
If you are an existing software filer with Companies House, these are the test instructions for all the schemas that come into force on 18th November: You can use your live presenter credentials - but show Package Reference as 0012 and Test Flag as 1.
If you receive an XML schema validation error, then the schema is failing due to a syntax error or incorrect basetype compatibility - and should be considered a failed test.
If you receive any other error response, such as an authorisation failure, then that means the schema has passed the schema validation stage, and should be considered a successful test.
For reference, the following is a link to the test service schema page.
