Our specification for accounts has been updated to cater for the new package accounts submissions that are being introduced with the release of the zip portal (File package accounts with Companies House service), as well as the enablement of the 2025 Taxonomy suite in April.
As you’re aware, we are releasing UKSEF submissions this month and then Partnership, Community Interest Company, Audit Exempt, Filing Exempt and Welsh/English package accounts in April. The updated TIS for accounts provides details on how to structure the zip file for each type of package, which includes the directories you will need to use as well as any specific naming conventions.
The TIS also contains all of the 2025 Taxonomy Entry Points, including the new Entry Points and elements that have been added to enable digital reporting of some of the above-named package accounts: Community Interest Company (CIC-34) report and Dormant Subsidiary Exempt Package accounts (Audit Exempt and Filing Exempt).
The TIS can be accessed via the following link on our website: [Technical interface specifications for Companies House software - GOV.UK
(Technical interface specifications for Companies House software - GOV.UK).
I would also like to make you aware that at the same time as enabling the 2025 Taxonomy Suite in April, we are also making some rule changes.
We are introducing a new rule to ensure Group/Consolidated accounts are not submitted as dormant, and we are also ensuring that where revised accounts are submitted to Companies House that no ‘Opinion of auditors on entity’ is necessary/required, as this is replaced by the ‘Opinion of auditors on revised accounts’ in the Auditor’s report.
